My name is Fr. Matthew Rensch (I go by Fr. Matthew). My sizable family is from Williston; I grew up there with my five siblings, including a twin. Most of us were homeschooled through large sections on our education. My mom is a saint.
For college I attended a small Catholic institution in northern Virginia, Christendom College, graduating in 2011, with a degree in philosophy, which I absolutely loved. After that I went to seminary in Providence, RI, for a year, and then was sent to study in Rome, Italy, for five years. Do I speak Italian? Well, I always say there's fluent, and then there's fluent. I'm only fluent, and a bit rusty on top of that! I enjoy a good game of basketball, reading and discussing philosophy, especially that of St. Thomas Aquinas and C. S. Lewis, and singing Irish music.
